The I.W.A.J
“A history that dates back to the early 1400’s and continues today….”
The purpose of I.W.A.J shall be the popularization of Irish Whiskey in Japan as a common targeted goal of its members, and engage in the following business:
Promotion of Irish Whiskey in Japan;
Promotion of the relationship between Irish Whiskey and the local Japanese Alcohol and Spirits Market;
Promote and Support awareness of Irish and Celtic culture in Japan;
Promote and Support awareness of everything Irish including Music, Cuisine, Art, History and Literature;
To help any and all Irish Whiskey Distillers in their promotion and sales of Whiskey
Benefits of Membership
Our members have access to quarterly magazines on The Irish Whiskey world, bi-monthly tastings guided by certified Whiskey ambassadors, a annual trip together to discover how & where Irish Whiskey is made, & weekly updates to their mail box on new Irish distilleries opening.Membership costs ¥40,000 per year and includes the following :
- Four Irish Single Malt whiskies delivered to your home. One every quarter
- 2 Irish Whiskey Association engraved Túath Glasses. (The Irish Glencairn)
- Access to Bi-monthly tastings covering a different theme each time (reserve your spot in advance)
Once a year, the IWAJ will take a trip with its members to Ireland to visit a distillery. This will not be covered in the cost of membership but will be supported through our contacts in the industry in Ireland.
